Engagement & Impact
Research within the Surplus Food Systems Research programme goes beyond academic analysis through public engagement, interdisciplinary dialogue, and collaborative knowledge exchange. This section highlights selected workshops, presentations, conferences, fieldwork activities, and partnerships that have contributed to conversations on food systems, sustainability, climate action, and governance.
In no particular order, these activities showcase the diverse ways in which the research engages with academic audiences, policymakers, practitioners, community organisations, and international collaborators. They span field-based work with food redistribution organisations, academic dissemination, public engagement, policy dialogue, and international collaboration across Wales, Nigeria, and beyond.
